Oh my gosh this year is flying. Can you believe it’s only 12 days until Christmas? The holidays really snuck up on me this year. I swear it was just summer and now the year is about to be over! Anyone else feeling like the second half of this year flew by way too quickly?
Weirdly I’m also kind of excited for this year to be over. It was a good year, but I just have a really good feeling about 2020. But I’m not about to rush through the last few weeks of this year. There’s still lots to do before ringing in the new year.
This week I got home from another long stint in NYC. I really enjoyed spending Thanksgiving there and enjoying the festiveness of the city. But I’m savoring this weekend before Jon and I head to Australia. Plans this weekend include the Rijksmuseum Christmas market (gluhwein & poffertjes), the movies, and a massage. It’s been a while since Jon and I have had some good quality time.
I’m starting to really look forward to Australia. I have been so busy I haven’t been able to really think about it until now. It’s going to be so nice to have the family together and spend some time in the sun. Jon and I are going to be heading to Hong Kong on the way back. I’ve never been that far east, so I can’t wait for the adventure of some new cultures.
