TGIF, y’all! I’ve actually got it pretty good this Friday because Jon and I are in Croatia with our friends Christina and Cole. Is it weird that I feel like we needed a vacation from our Marrakech trip? Plus we had so many visitors, I’m exhausted. All I’ll be doing this Memorial Day weekend is laying on a beach. I hope you’re doing something similar!
It’s so crazy to me that this weekend is already the unofficial start to summer (at least in the US). I feel like I’ve lost all concept of time since I haven’t been working. As you guys know, I haven’t been able to work since my visa expired, and the job search hasn’t been very successful. Luckily it looks like I’ll be getting my freelance visa and be able to do a few part-time things while I keep searching. I’m really excited to be doing some work again – mostly so I can earn money to travel and shop again!
I’m still looking to make blogging one of my priorities. I absolutely love writing here and sharing pictures with you all. Hopefully kelseyybarnes.com will continue to grow, and I’ll eventually be able to do this full-time. How cool would that be?! Speaking of growing, if you have anyone you think would like my site, please share! I want to reach out to more people and get more engaged with my audience.

FRIDAY FAVORITES: WEEK 2
I picked up this white skirt from Mango for Croatia. I’m trying not to shop while I’m unemployed, but I couldn’t help myself! It’s just too cute and easy to mix-and-match.
I’ll be pairing it with this little Zara top.
I’m wrapping up the book I shared last week, and going to move onto this one. I need something more lighthearted after getting totally freaked out by I’ll Be Gone in the Dark.

Jon is going to NYC next week, and I asked him to pick up my favorite Tarte eyebrow pencils. These things are the only makeup item I HAVE to have, but they don’t have Tarte in the Netherlands. Weird right?!
I’ve been majorly obsessing over inexpensive bags lately. They’re such an easy way to change up your look. Mango has so many good ones. I wanted to buy this one, this one, AND this one.
Did you hear they’re making a movie of the book, Crazy Rich Asians?! This is one of my favorite series. It makes such a great beach read.
Are any of you watching 13 Reasons Why – season 2? For some reason I didn’t think I’d be as into it this season, but I was totally wrong. At least for the first two episodes. I’ll be binge-watching it when we get back.
Headbands are so on trend right now. I always forget about them, but I’m hoping to incorporate them more this summer. I particularly like this style and this one.
When Christina and Cole were in Amsterdam with us last week, we went to Roest. It’s a city beach where everyone is hanging out in the sand in cute outfits drinking. Can’t believe I haven’t made it there before now!
I was at Zara the other day and realized I might just be into coordinated sets. I’ve never been into them before because they always tended to come across SO preppy. But sets like this have me thinking about how many outfits I can make out of the two pieces.
