Summer Essentials: the Little White Dress

Summer – warm weather, extra sunshine, and little white dresses. Each year when summer rolls around, I unpack and hang all of my clothes from the previous season. As my sweaters are replaced with shorts and tanks, the one item that always gets me most excited is the little white dress.

Nothing screams summer more than throwing on an easy, breezy white dress with sandals. And the beautiful thing is that there is a variety of shapes and styles, so you could literally wear a little white dress every day for the whole summer.

This year, I’m loving versions with fun details, like this swingy number from Shein. Delft-inspired prints are all the rage right now, and I love how this dress has just a touch so I can still wear it next year. I wore a pair of square toed sandals with my little white dress to give it some edge. Square toed shoes are wildly on trend right now. This dress could also easily be paired with flat sandals for a more casual look.

In addition to this fun little number, I’m into midi dresses and fun summery fabrics. Of course, all in white. It hasn’t felt like summer here in Amsterdam, but that doesn’t mean it’s over yet! Check out my favorite versions of the little white dress in the carousel below.
