This is by far one of the most Instagrammable spots in Amsterdam. The floating houses are wildly popular, and for good reason. They make a stunning photo.
Be warned this is not the prettiest area of Amsterdam. It’s actually very touristy and quite dirty. I recommend heading there early in the morning to get your shot before it’s swarmed with tourists.

Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge)
This beautiful white bridge spans the Amstel river. It’s only wide enough for pedestrians and bikes, and makes a lovely photo.

Rokin
I love this area because you can get several shots from different parts of this canal. On one side is the dock which creates great lines. On the other sid eof the street you can get more cute canal houses. And down at the end is a wall you can sit on.

Rijksmuseum
This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city and definitely deserves to be on any list of the most Instagrammable spots in Amsterdam. I particularly like shooting on either the front or back side. If the gardens are open, make sure to check them out. There are some really great spots in there too!

Canals of Jordaan
This is one of my favorite areas to shoot. There are opportunities for canal pictures, skinny Dutch streets, and plenty of great places to stop in for Instagrammable coffee, pancakes or stroopwaffels. I recommend starting around The Hoxton and then wandering west, away from city center.

Seven Bridges
This is one of the most popular areas for professional photographers to shoot. If you line it up correctly, you can see all seven bridges spanning the canals. I like this area for shooting because it’s quieter and allows you the opportunity to get some very Dutch looking shots. Especially great during the fall when the leaves change!
